Book cover

Art2-D2's Guide to Folding and Doodling is the fourth released Origami Yoda Book. It was released on March 26, 2013.

It features Origami R2-D2 as the cover star. (With C-3PO helping him.)

As quoted by Tommy :

This IS a case file, but it's Kellen's case file. (Tommy gets a few words in, too. And -- unavoidably! -- so does Harvey !)

It will be full of instrux for all kinds of stuff. I am really excited about and have worked like crazy on it. I hope you guys are going to like it!!!

This book is NOT to be confused with the book that finishes Fortune Wookiee's cliffhanger, The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppett

Stick figures to the dark side only lead! To doodle like a Jedi you must learn! Controversy about Timeframe of Book Edit

The timeframe of the book is semi-undetermined. Though it is the fourth released book in the series, there have been debates over whether this is the "fourth" Origami Yoda Book chronologically.

When asked by a SuperFolder about the timeframe of the book, in terms of the rest of the Origami Yoda Series, Tom said,

R2 exists outside of the story arc. Remi is in it, so it is probably post DP, but Kellen never specifies exactly when he writes it.

So, it used to be safe to say the order of the series goes as follows:

After the release of the book, though, Tom has stated differently, placing Art2-D2 AFTER Fortune Wookiee. Another reason is because in the book, a guide on how to draw the Fortune Wookiee is included, it says tape him to the back of the fortune wookiee and th home run Dwight was suspended so he couldn't help and be in the SCHOOL library. What this means that Origami Yoda 4 is before or after Art2-D2 is unknown, but it is assumed that Origami Yoda 4 is after because of Tom's statements and the aforementioned reason. So this really the order.

Confusion over continuityEdit

  • Since Dwight did not return until Jabba the Puppett, but appears in this book, it would seem there is conflicting continuity. However, Tom Angleberger has revealed that this case file was made during extra FunTime sessions. Jabba the Puppett and was published sooner because at the time Jabba's case file was not completed.
